Solveig Hjerrild


Solveig studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, where she specialised in Song and Pedagogy. She now studies under Roberta Cunningham (Berlin) and Neil Semer (New York).

Solveig's public debut concert was as Michaela in Carmen.

Solveig has taken part in many lied and opera concerts such as with the duo "Deux Cheveaux", performing French music by Debussy, Berlioz, Poulenc and Fauré. Her repertoire of arias and duets includes works by Puccini (Mimì, Liu og Magda), Verdi (Desdemona og Violetta) and Mozart (Fiordiligi, Countess Almaviva og Konstanze). Solveig has given many church concerts, and performed works such as Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Schubert's Mass in G-major, Carl Nielsen's Fynsk Foraar og Peter Heise's Elverskud. Solveig has also performed with the Chorus of the Danish National Opera and the Royal Danish Opera.

Solveig is an experienced teacher of singing, teaching at all levels.
